Tren Skip Challenge, Tantangan Berbahaya Tapi Bikin Ketagihan

Skip challenge adalah tantangan yang dilakukan dengan menekan dada sehingga dapat menghambat pernapasan. Gara-gara hal tersebut biasanya orang yang melakukan skip challenge akan kehabisan napas, lalu kejang-kejang, dan bisa pingsan seketika. Dilansir dari Fox59, dokter anak, Dr Michael McKenna menjelaskan bahwa saat dada ditekan sangat kencang maka denyut jantung akan berhenti beberapa detik.

“Saat kamu mengacaukan asupan oksigen ke otak, maka kamu berada dalam situasi yang berbahaya dan risiko ekstrem. Tak hanya kerusakan otak, risiko yang lebih parah, yakni kematian bisa saja terjadi,” terang Dr Michael McKenna. Meskipun berbahaya, namun “permainan” yang nyatanya sudah ada sejak 1995 ini masih saja diikuti oleh anak-anak remaja, tidak hanya di Indonesia, tapi juga di seluruh dunia.

Dilansir dari Health-Liputan6.com, ada beberapa alasan para remaja mengikuti tantangan skip challenge tersebut, selain karena tantangan ini memang bisa membuat pelakunya menjadi ketagihan. Anak-anak ingin mencari sebuah tantangan yang mungkin belum pernah ia coba sebelumnya.

"Dilihat dari rentang usianya, anak-anak dan remaja termasuk individu yang rentan terhadap berbagai fenomena yang ada di hadapannya. Mereka ingin mencari tantangan, dalam arti segala sesuatu yang berbahaya. Ada kecenderungan untuk mengejar tantangan," kata psikolog Keluarga dan Anak Anna Surti Ariani seperti dikutip dari Liputan6.com, Minggu (12/03/2017). Kebanyakan anak-anak juga tak tahu mengenai bahaya dari skip challenge ini.

Sementara itu, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Muhadjir Effendy juga sudah melarang keras siswa melakukan  sangat berbahaya bagi siswa dan ini harus diberikan larangan keras. Guru dan kepala sekolah perlu memberikan perhatian terhadap aktivitas siswa di lingkungan sekolah," tegas Muhadjir dalam keterangan tertulis yang diterima Liputan6.com.
